"For Director District 6, voters have an excellent choice in Maria Ramirez. We like Ramirez, a public sector manager, for her understanding of such real-life challenges for high school students as holding part-time jobs and early school start times."
--Seattle Post Intelligencer, October 12, 2007

"Maria Ramirez understands the ins and outs of the district better than any candidate, including the sitting Board members. Maria Ramirez has been and would be a tireless advocate for making sure all students get the opportunities they deserve. I urge you to support Maria Ramirez, who would bring to the Seattle School Board both experience and heart."
--David Edelman, Teacher, Ingraham High School
